The Florida Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association, Inc. established the FPMA Scholarship Fund in 1981. The fund's main purpose is to promote the education of talented young men and women and help them fulfill their educational goals. Financial need is considered; however a student with secure resources will not be discounted if there is sufficient evidence of self-motivation and academic achievement. The fund is not limited to students pursuing a career in the petroleum industry, however, preference will be given to those seeking employment within the private industry sector.
FPMA's Scholarship Fund is made possible through the donations of petroleum marketers, their associates, suppliers and friends. Contributions are used exclusively for the provision of scholarship awards to students, and are tax deductible as educational contributions. Funds may also be given as contributions toward establishing a memorial scholarship honoring a particular individual. Donations should be made payable to "FPMA Scholarship".
